Beyond the "Job": Discovering the Unconditional Gift of Life

For a long time, I believed I was put on this earth purely to perform a job. I viewed life through the lens of duty or a series of tasks given by God that I needed to complete before my time here was finished.
When you view life strictly as a performance test, hard times feel like personal failures. In my darker moments, when trials mounted, I saw my struggles not as character-building experiences, but as proof of my own unworthiness, failure, or weakness.
But during a recent Morning Miracle practice, something shifted deep within my spirit.
The Realization of the "Gift"
As I sat in stillness, a sudden, tear-filled appreciation washed over me. For the first time in my life, I realized I had been viewing existence through the wrong lens. Life isn't a sentence or a trial to survive; it is a gift.
I spent most of my life in communication with God and relying on the Holy Spirit to help me survive. I am so thankful to have reached a place beyond survival mode and sincerely grateful for the experience of life.
God doesn't view your hardships as a sign that you are losing. He uses every trial to build strength, character, and deeper compassion.
Every Day Is a Clean Slate
We often carry the weight of yesterday's mistakes into today, replaying past worries or anxiously trying to control the future. But the beauty of awareness is realizing that you don't have to carry any of that extra baggage.
You start brand new today: You do not have to replay the past or fear what is ahead.
You hold creative authority: When negative thoughts, worry, or judgment try to direct your mind, you can simply acknowledge them and choose greater awareness instead.
You are part of something vast: Remembering how interconnected we are with the spiritual world puts our everyday worries into perspective.
Unconditional Gift of Life
This is the day the Lord has made. It is a perfect, standalone gift, and we are allowed to truly rejoice in the Unconditional Gift of Life.
"When I felt the gift of life this morning, I also felt the connection with God. The type of connection that erases thoughts of failure or unworthiness and replaces them with love."

Today's Reflection
